Decent Salary, But Killing You Inside

You’ve worked hard to get a degree, get a good internship, move up the ranks in your company over the past 5-15 years, and secure a good salary.

Your family’s proud of you, your wife and kids are secure, and it seems like you’ve got it made except…

You can’t shake the realization that a big part of you is miserable inside

You go to work and basically live in a little box…

You see your boss is HIS own cubicle two rows down…

And your boss’s boss in his private office and you start to think…

‘Is that all I’ve got to look forward to?’

You can distract yourself. Bury the feelings.

Earn more money…

Go for the next promotion…

Shop for online for something expensive…

Come home and plan the weekend or next holiday…

And despite all that, for all the good income you’ve got, there’s still a sense of deep unhappiness – and not because there’s something ‘wrong’ with you…

But you’re bored.

Not challenged.

Can’t find real meaning or purpose in your work.

Don’t have as much fun as you’d like.

… and it’s starting to show in your relationship with your wife and as a role model to your kids.

BUT… there’s one big PROBLEM which stops this from being a ‘simple fix’ of getting up and walking out of the job that pays well at the expense of your soul:

You’re now in a situation where your lifestyle is at a certain level, and you have bills to pay…

You have a mortgage, car payments, and kids…

And you can’t just turn the income stream off, be irresponsible, and take all those things away – and you don’t want to either.

But you don’t want to keep feeling deeply unhappy and pushing those emotions down either because…

You know it’ll make you ill at some point – either mentally or physically – and you don’t know how much longer he can keep going on.

It feels like a black hole that keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Your bank account is in the black, but emotional bank account is in the red.

Which is when you might realize that the old cliche ‘money isn’t everything’ is accurate.

Money is SOMETHING – you need it to survive, especially if you’re the breadwinner for your family and have bills to pay…

But the question becomes what else are you willing to sacrifice to get it?

Listen…

I’m guessing that selling e-com products on Facebook and setting up a Shopify store doesn’t exactly light your heart on fire with passion.

It does for me… and maybe it will for you…

But what’s DEFINITELY exciting is the freedom an e-com business allows us to have.

Where we can pursue and reignite the other part of us that has passions and hobbies that we were interested in 10, 15, or 20 years ago before we had all this responsibility.

In a funny way…

It’s almost like when we launch a product that pays out $3k, $5k, or $10k in profit each month…

We’re replacing our salary, we’re getting back some of our free time, but REALLY what we’re doing is buying back a little bit of our soul with every new product we launch.

I’m looking for a couple people today who realize they can’t afford to spend another year in a situation they’re deeply unhappy with, and are looking for a way out…
